MUAY THAI
Growing up in Arkansas my father would rent VHS tapes of Muay Thai matches, recorded at a video store called Bangkok Video. I would shadow box in the living room, imitating their moves. There was a boxing gym not far from my house but my pops wouldn’t let me go, I had to sneak out to go train. I got in trouble but it was worth it. My was first trainers were Saysamone (Thuy) Mingboupha, who became champ in the early ’90s in USA, and his brother Luckier (Paw Eng) Xayavongsa. I started my Muay journey as a kid but didn’t get to fight until 2002. Now, here in ATL with Ai Khunpon I am grateful to be continuing my learning & practicing of Muay. Come see me at the Duluth location & let's kick it y’all!

Thomas "Ruben" Tyler III started his martial arts journey at the age of five, where he studied Taekwondo. At the age of twelve, he studied Shao lin Kung Fu. But it was Muay Thai that captured his heart and had him study for over twelve years. It wasn't until he met Kru Pongsan Ek-yotin in Santa Clarita, California that he trained seriously and competed with success. During that time he had the honor of training with Lerdsila Chumpairtour, a Muay Thai legend. While studying Muay Thai he worked as a Personal trainer for Golds Gym Valencia, Ca, and taught kickboxing at UFC Gym Santa Clarita. Thomas and Ajarn Khunpon crossed paths early in Thomas' Muay Thai study and are reunited now that hes back in Atlanta.
