Started Training Judo at 10 years old and won many tournaments facing much more experienced and higher ranking students due to the lack of popularity in the Judo circuit. Stopped after 2 years to persue playing basketball. Began Martial Arts again at 15 training in Tae Kwon Do continued for 6 years winning many tournements and earning a Black Belt.

Looking to train in a more practical style for fighting with less rules began training in Muay Thai at 21 and after only training for 1 month had and won my first fight. Having beaten alot of people in my weight class often took fights against heavier opponents in different weight classes simply to get more fights after opponents in my own weight class backed out.

Love the martial arts and many different forms of fighting and has dabbled in different forms for limited amount of time such as Boxing, Hapkido, Jui Jitsu and Kung fu.

MUAY THAI

Growing up in Arkansas my father would rent VHS tapes of Muay Thai matches, recorded at a video store called Bangkok Video. I would shadow box in the living room, imitating their moves. There was a boxing gym not far from my house but my pops wouldn’t let me go, I had to sneak out to go train. I got in trouble but it was worth it. My was first trainers were Saysamone (Thuy) Mingboupha, who became champ in the early ’90s in USA, and his brother Luckier (Paw Eng) Xayavongsa. I started my Muay journey as a kid but didn’t get to fight until 2002. Now, here in ATL with Ai Khunpon I am grateful to be continuing my learning & practicing of Muay. Come see me at the Duluth location & let's kick it y’all!

Coach Craig will welcome Kids,  Ladies and gentlemen, gather 'round the ring! The man of the hour has stepped into the spotlight, gloves laced, heart pounding—a true pugilistic maestro.

Coach Craig has been the architect of champions. His mitts have molded raw talent into polished dynamite. 30 Boxers: That’s right, folks! Thirty fighters felt the rhythm of his combos, the precision of his footwork, and the fire in his eyes.

Georgia Amateur Boxing Hall of Outstanding Coaches:

  • 8 Years at Alpharetta Police Athletic League: Here, he molded champions—both in the ring and in life. Discipline met compassion, and young fighters found purpose.

  • 2 Years at L.A. Boxing Fitness: Sweat-soaked mitts, heavy bags, and the rhythm of heartbeats synced to the bell. Coach Craig sculpted bodies and minds.

  • 2 Years at 1144 Athletics: The gym echoed with dedication. He taught foot placement, head movement, and the art of resilience.

  • 4 Years at Knuckle Up Fitness: Here, he wasn’t just a coach; he was a motivator. Gloves slapped leather, and dreams took flight.

Coach Craig still laces up. His love for sport? Unbreakable. He’s not just a coach; he’s a lifeline for those who step into the squared circle.
